How to Become a Certified Scrum Master?

Step 1: Search and find a right training provider:
Identifying the right training provider is very important in order to gain proper knowledge about the Scrum and agile. Step 2: Enrol for the Training:
Learnovative provides frequent weekday and weekend CSM training (physical and live virtual) in Hyderabad and across India and few other countries. Step 3: Welcome mailer:
Prior to 2 to 3 days of the training, we will send you a detailed welcome email with all the instructions to join the training. This email includes: Venue information (Physical if is), Zoom credentials (if it is Live virtual), start time and end time, things to keep for the training, material download links etc. This email helps you to join the class without any hiccups.
Step 4: Join the Training:
As per the joining email instructions, you will join the training according to the scheduled date and time. We recommend you to join at least 15 minutes before the sessions starts so that you will be able to address any technical issues (for Live virtual) and traffic issues (if it is Physical). The Trainer will be available at least 15 minutes before the training starts.
Step 5: Practice tests:
Learnovative provides mock (practice) tests to our participants. These practice tests help you to test your knowledge gained in the training and to validate any gaps. There will be 3 practice tests: One for the day 1 concepts, second for the day two concepts and the third is for both day concepts. Each practice test has 5 attempts. These practice tests will equip you to appear for the actual CSM test. We recommend you to get minimum 85% in each of the practice tests.
Step 6: Appear the CSM actual test:
Scrum Alliance sends you a registration email for your CSM exam soon after the second day training is concluded. Using this email you will have to register yourself for the Scrum Alliance. Upon completing the 3 practice tests, you will have to attempt the real CSM test from the Scrum Alliance website. There will be 2 free attempts available for the real CSM test. This test will have 50 questions within 60 minutes. All questions are objective type, each question will have 4 options and you have to select one correct option from them. You have to get 74% to pass the CSM test.
Step 7: Download the CSM certificate:
After successful completion of the CSM real test, you will be able to download your CSM certificate from your Scrum Alliance Dashboard. You can download the certificate in “A4” or “Letter” formats and you can download any number of times in PDF file format.
How to keep your CSM certification active?
The validity of CSM certification is 2 years from the date of the training. You will have to renew your CSM certification every two years. This is to keep your certification active and your learning is continuous. To maintain your certification, you need to earn Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and pay 100 USD to renew your CSM certification every two years. Alternatively, consider exploring advanced certifications like the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster certification (A-CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) to renew your CSM free of cost.
